We checked out another 2 places on Saturday, 14 Nov - 1 Twenty Six and OneRochester! Both are under the same management and I got to know these places on Style Wedding magazine.
We headed to 1 Twenty Six first and were shown around the place by Jun who was in charge of the operations there.
Here are the pictures of the venue:
This is the place where it will be decorated for the solemnisation. The rest of the areas are for guests to walk and sit around.
One of the entrances from the car park area.
2nd entrance from the beach area.
The huge car park.
I like the fact that it's an alfresco area near the sea and the scenery will definitely be very beautiful if we were to hold our solemnisation in the evening. Initially, we felt neglected by the wedding planner, Joanne whom I liaised with cos she was at OneRochester for meetings that afternoon and had to leave us with Jun who referred us to Joanne for almost every question we asked about the solemnisation package.
However, we were pleasantly surprised at how meticulous and experienced Joanne was in holding solemnisations. How can they not be experienced when there had been more than 100 over solemnisations done at both locations?
Here are the pictures of OneRochester:
It's located at Rochester Park, of course! Super near to Joo's house so I presumed she would most likely be the first to arrive if we choose this place! Hahaha
The main entrance.
This is where we can place our photo as a signage.
We can request for other areas to be decorated with balloons but it comes with a minimal cost.
This is the only place by far that has the sound system console and they will have someone to play the music for us.
The Living Room which will be opened to us.
There's even a private area for the VIPs!
The stairway that leads to the make-up/ preparation room on Level 2.
It's huge! Bigger than my bedroom, unlike the one at 1 Twenty Six which has the size of a toilet cubicle.
We were lucky to be there at the right timing cos there was a solemnisatioin rehearsal going on and we got to see the whole process.
This is how the trellis will look like with the chosen decorations.
It is called the Octopus decor.
The tellis without any decor.
The place was a nice alfresco area with a touch of greenery and I actually prefer this place to 1 Twenty Six. Joanne told us that we could even have flower petals showered on us from Level 2 as we do the march in.
It was a hi-tea package which she presented to us and it included the usage of the trellis and The Living Room but she mentioned we could have the whole of OneRochester to ourselves on that day since it's a Monday. We may even stretch the 3-hour package longer provided they do not have a back-to-back event on that day.
What makes the package appealing to us was her professionalism and expertise in handling solemnisation. I feel that we could really out our hearts at ease.
She quoted us $4,700 for a 50-pax event and that worked out to be close to $90 per pax, which we thought was too expensive! However, after expressing our keen interest, she managed to lower it to $4,100.
This will be one of our top priorities as of now. We will be doing a site visit at British Club and Flutes at The Fort this week and next week.
