Schedule for coming Saturday

Will be heading down to Ya Mei Auntie's house to tailor-make my ROM dress this coming Saturday at 11.30am, after which, we will also make a trip to Sarah's from Poppy Flora to discuss on the wedding favours and hand bouquet at 1pm.

I got to know about Poppy Flora from a wedding magazine and I came to know that Joo got her hand bouquet from Sarah too and apparently she sings praises about her so I'm quite looking forward to meeting her! She told me to bring the design of my gown along so that she can advise us on the suitable flowers according to my theme.

I also acquired the cost of the mini honey bottle as a wedding favour and it's a pity that it does not come with the labelling. She will charge us an additional $0.50 for each bottle and this is going to add on to our budget.

Plans for Saturday:

1. Ya Mei Auntie's for ROM dress
2. Poppy Flora for wedding favour and hand bouquet
3. Head back to Henry's house to select the remaining Chinese songs and to update our budget list on things we have spent on lest we burst our budget for the ROM

Second expenditure

23 Jan (Sat) - We signed our lives away... Finally, a second expenditure after the purchase of our rings.

After going through and finalising some details in the contract, the die is cast.

Both of us were tired and drained from the 5-day work so we were not really in the mood to have more discussion.

Just briefly touched on the songs of which Joanne will send a selection to us, as well as the various decorations that we want to have for the ROM. Told Joanne that our colour theme will be green & blue to suit the garden concept. Luckily, I showed Joanne the picture of my ROM dress otherwise, she would have chosen a particular decoration of the trellis that would have me camouflaged in it due to its similar flowy design.

Paid 20% deposit for the package.

A sneak peak at the hand bouquet and ROM dress:

I want a simple yet elegant hand bouquet.

I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it on the magazine!

After OneRochester, we went to People's Park to source for the dress materials and a tailor. After some advice from 2 shop owners, I have decided to get satin, chiffon/ netting!

The cost of the materials only came up to about $50 in total. The kind Uncle got a tailor's contacts for me and said that she specialises in making ROM/wedding dresses.
